Dadra and Nagar Haveli are situated in Western India. It was a Portuguese colony until 1962. The territory is administered by the Lieutenant Governor. The taxes are low and there is no excise duty which provides incentives to businesses to establish factories. Gujarati seems to have replaced Portuguese in the recent years.
